It is pretty safe to say that my son hates wearing a diaper. This morning as we were getting dressed my son ran from me (because I was holding a diaper). Seeing as I was still in a towel and the countdown to leave for work was ticking I decided to let him roam free for a while…and yes, he did pee in the floor, but at least it was in the bathroom. We’re getting closer to potty training??? So as I got dressed my son decided getting the screwdriver down from my dresser and chewing on it was a priority. I turned around to see him sitting on the bed, still naked, with my screwdriver in his mouth…awesome…haha
So I said, may I please have my screwdriver, to which he climbed off the bed and handed it to me (thank God!) but then he glanced at the bed (where the diaper was still laying in wait for him) and ran off. My grandmother is staying with me to help out with bills and because her house has no heat. So she scooped him up and played with him for a few minutes. Then he threw the diaper in the still wet shower…so there went that one. She managed to diaper him (with a new dry diaper) then they went in search for a drink for my son.
I’m almost ready for work at this point. I actually spent some time straightening my hair this morning. A few minutes later here comes a naked baby, running from his Nana to hide behind my legs. Apparently he unsnapped one side, stepped out of it, and ran. On one hand it is hilarious to watch him run through the house in his little baby birthday suit (because almost all naked babies are adorable) but soon it won’t be so cute because he’s going to be grown. And he’s already figured out how to undo them, take them off, and hide them. Yay me! haha
At one point though he did take his towel and wrap it around him toga style, then proceeded to walk around like that. It was super cute!
I really need a book on potty training little boys. Any suggestions?
We are fighting with potty training as well. My daughter only potty trains when it works to her advantage. At bed time for instance she always has to pee in the potty. She will go multiple times at bedtime to avoid sleep. Sneaky little sucker. A bare butt running around is adorable. My daughter tries to avoid her diaper as well. With this being the case, you would think they would welcome the potty training. Lol! Good luck to you.
