Well, I am simply exhausted. I promised I would post in a few days after I got some rest. It’s been a few days, but I still don’t feel rested haha. I have some sort of sinus/chest congestion that is like, oh, you want to breath? Good luck with that. It’s not too bad, it just makes me tired trying to fight it off. Moving on…
TADA! I graduated this past Saturday with my Bachelor of Art in English! YAY ME! I’m so glad to be done. This semester has been difficult, and combined with the extra stress of every single class having to be passed to graduate…I was pretty much insane. Thank goodness for the girl next to me – Ariana – who was instrumental in keeping me sane the past few months, helping me at the house, and with Xander, and everything else. It is still a little surreal. I keep thinking I should be finishing up an assignment to submit tonight, or how many more pages of my thesis I need to type, etc etc. But it is done…for now. Eventually (relatively soon) I am going to continue on to get my Master’s degree, but right now I am just going to rest and relax a bit. Enjoy some time at work and with my Xander….speaking of:
How cute is he!? He took the cap right off my head and put it on. It was adorable!
We all went out to eat together, it was nice, and then Ariana and I got ready and went to the ballet in Lexington to celebrate. We saw The Nutcracker and it was simply amazing! We had such a good time together, and it was so beautiful.
We sat on the second level. It was definitely the play to be. I can’t even begin to tell you how stunning the dancers were. They were super talented, sweet, and they had the most darling children playing some of the parts. This was my first ballet, Ariana’s too, but it certainly wont be the last!
We made a girls’ night out of it. Of course we managed to get lost in Lexington, finally found our way to a restaurant where we may or may not told the waiter it was some guy’s birthday. We don’t know him, or even if it was his birthday, but man we would have given anything to have seen the look on his face….juvenile? Maybe. Hilarious to two giddy women? Most definitely!
After that my gps managed to take us the most horrifying scenic route ever. Seriously, the road we went down (at like midnight mind you) could have been the set to a horror movie where our car breaks down and a psycho murder had escape a prison and was going to chase us through the woods and kill us….sometimes we get a little over-imaginative when we get together…but we always have a blast! Finally we made our way out of the forest of terror and to Walmart. Now, neither of us are girly girls, but we found some awesome makeup and stuff for about $1 – $3 each. We couldn’t resist, and we’re happy with our spoils. After that we made it home no problem, around 2 in the morning, and promptly passed out because we had to be up for church in a few hours.
It was a great day and a fantastic night. (Church was awesome too the next day! Joy is now! It is available to everyone! -more on this later-)
I’ll be sure to post again soon! If you haven’t already feel free to check out some of my earlier posts.
Awesome … thanks for the morning smile …
