A child’s question

A lot of people think kids are self-centered creatures who only think of themselves and what they want. Sometimes this is the case, especially when they seem to be screaming, “Mine, mine!” every time you turn around. Children are constantly learning and growing. They soak up everything around them while discovering who they are and who they want to be.

And sometimes they are just too darn cute.

This morning Xander was still in the shower while I was getting ready for work. I had walked into the kitchen to grab something, leaving the door open so I could hear him if he needed something, and as I passed by the door I sneezed rather loudly. Xander opened the shower door, looked at me, and asked if I was okay (in his serious voice). I said I was fine to which he said, okay, and went back to the shower.

He makes me laugh with his sweet ways. Sometimes he can drive me up the wall, but most often he fills my heart with joy and laughter. His sweet little question made the start of my day wonderful.
