Occasionally we all need some encouragement in life, especially when things tend to not work like we thought they would. After a long week at work, raising kids, and juggling everyday life, one of the best things I can receive is encouragement from someone close to me.
Lately I have been incredibly exhausted. I work, work, work, but I can’t seem to catch up on anything. Taking a step back and breathing for a minute has helped me to refocus my life. They say school is supposed to prepare you for life, but so far the Pythagorean Theorem hasn’t done squat for me.
Having someone to encourage me to keep going when I am ready to give up has been such a blessing. In the middle of May my church had their annual women’s conference which I like to attend every year. This year we had a random gift exchange. I received a new journal and pens to encourage me to write. There is something about a new journal, with its fresh crisp paper that is so refreshing. Although the computer’s cursor is more of a mocking gesture at the moment. I’ve started six different posts in the last two weeks and none of them have grown into anything more than a mockery.
A friend of mine has really taken me under her wing to teach me finances and to improve my cooking skills. I love to cook, but I’ve never been especially technical or adventurous with the meals I prepare. Baking yes, I’ll try to bake just about anything, but I cook pretty average meals. They have served me well so far, but I’m ready to branch out.
I’m ready to find something new. I’m ready to breathe some fresh air.
Wonderful . . . looking forward to reading about your endeavors!
