The only benefit to a sick day

There is only one benefit to a sick day, which can be seen here.

I have also never been happier to see a box of Azithromycin in my life! I get sick occasionally, but normally it is just a little cold, maybe some allergies or something, but sometimes -rarely- I will get a sinus infection so bad I literally can not see straight. It started late Friday night.

I could feel a headache coming on; annoying, but not unmanageable. Saturday morning came and I had to work a half day at the Library. I felt a little fuzzy, slightly congested, and just blah. I managed to make it through work so I went home, took a benedryl, and passed out on the couch for the next three hours. I woke up to Roger tapping on my head saying “wakey, wakey sleepy head, we have to go soon.” I groggily came to with a pounding headache forcing its way into fruition. However I promised to take my daughter to see the movie Home that just came out in theaters. (It was adorable). Despite a pounding headache and vision-blurring dizziness I enjoyed date night with my daughter and happily passed out again as soon as I got home.

Sunday morning rolled around and I couldn’t move without the room spinning. I did not get out of bed, didn’t even go to church, and wondered if I was dying because everything hurt, no one could touch me without it causing pain, and I couldn’t figure out if I was hot or cold. The same thing happened Monday, but for this day I had to call out of work. I did call the doctor and asked her to call me in a Z-pack since I was fairly certain it was a sinus infection. Thankfully she called one in, Ariana went to pick it up, and when she got back I’m pretty sure I thanked Jesus. By the evening I was starting to feel better.

I may not have been 100% Tuesday, but I felt a million times better. I rested, and got to spend an extra day at home with my baby boy, cuddled up, and passed out on the couch.
